IPTV Smarters Pro: Full Setup Guide for 2026

IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most widely used IPTV players, largely because it is free and runs on Firestick, Android, iOS, Windows and Mac. If your provider gives you Xtream Codes or an M3U link, this guide gets you watching.

Installing IPTV Smarters Pro

• Android / Android TV box — available directly from the Google Play Store.
• iPhone / iPad — available from the App Store.
• Firestick — not in the Amazon store, so it is sideloaded using the free Downloader app, exactly the same process as our Firestick guide.
• Windows / Mac — downloadable from the official Smarters site.

Logging in with Xtream Codes (the easy way)

Xtream Codes is the cleaner option because it pulls channels, VOD and the programme guide in one go. On first launch, choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter:

1. Any name for the playlist — this is just a label for you.
2. Username — from your subscription email.
3. Password — from the same email.
4. Server URL — the portal address your provider sent, entered exactly as given, including http:// and the port number.

Press Add User and the app loads your lineup. IPTVMain sends all three details by email within minutes of ordering.

Using an M3U playlist instead

If you were given a single long M3U URL rather than separate credentials, choose Load Your Playlist or File/URL, paste the link, and add it. M3U works fine but the EPG is often less reliable than the Xtream Codes route — use Xtream if you have the choice.

Getting the EPG working

With Xtream Codes the guide usually populates on its own. If it stays empty, go to Settings, then EPG, and force a refresh. Give it a minute to download. More detail in our EPG and Catch Up guide.

Common Smarters errors and what they mean

• "Invalid username or password" — nearly always a typo, or a space picked up when copying from an email. Retype it by hand.
• "Unable to connect to server" — usually a missing port number or http:// prefix in the server URL.
• Channels load but do not play — try switching the player in Settings from the default to VLC or MX Player. This fixes a large share of playback complaints.

• "Max connections reached" — the line is already streaming elsewhere. See how connections work.
