Install IPTVMain in minutes
Whatever you watch on — Firestick, Samsung, LG, Android, iPhone, Windows, Formuler Z, Xbox or Roku — the setup follows the same short path. Below is the universal process, a device-by-device breakdown, and the mistakes that cause most first-time failures.
Heads up: several copycat apps imitate IBO Player Pro. Install the genuine app shown here to qualify for activation.
How IPTV setup actually works
Five steps, near enough identical on every device. The device guides below cover the specifics.
- Install a player app. Your subscription is not an app in itself. You install a player — IBO Player Pro, IPTV Smarters Pro or XCIPTV — and feed it your login. On Samsung, LG, Android and iOS it comes from the device store. On Firestick it is installed with Amazon’s free Downloader app. Formuler boxes already have MYTVOnline built in.
- Find your MAC Address and Device Key. IBO Player Pro shows both on its first screen. These identify your specific device so we can activate the player on it. Xbox, Roku and Formuler do not use this step.
- Send them to us for activation. Message the MAC Address and Device Key on live chat, WhatsApp or email (contact@iptvmain.io). We activate remotely, usually within minutes.
- Enter your Xtream Codes login. Your welcome email contains a server URL, username and password. Enter all three exactly as sent — including the port number on the end of the URL. Xtream Codes loads live channels, VOD and the programme guide together.
- Reload and watch. Press Reload on the player home screen. Your full lineup appears. If the guide is empty at first, give it a few minutes to download.

Six mistakes that cause most setup failures
Nearly every failed install we see comes down to one of these.
Copying the login instead of typing it
Copying from an email frequently drags in a trailing space, which the player counts as part of the password. Retyping all three fields by hand fixes a large share of failed logins.
Leaving off the port number
The server URL usually ends in a colon and a port such as :8080. Without it the player connects to the wrong place and reports a connection error rather than a clear message.
Getting the http:// prefix wrong for the device
Most players want the full http://server:port. Formuler boxes and some Smart TV apps want the bare domain with no prefix. If one form fails, try the other before assuming the details are wrong.
Installing a copycat app
Several apps imitate IBO Player Pro with near-identical names and icons. They will not accept our activation. Check the icon against the one shown on this page first.
Enabling unknown apps for the wrong app
On Firestick the Install Unknown Apps permission is per app. Switching it on for something else does not carry across to Downloader.
Expecting the guide immediately
The EPG is a separate download and can take a few minutes on first setup. An empty guide straight after install is normal; an empty guide the next day is not.
Activate IBO Player Pro
Firestick, Samsung, LG, Android, iPhone and Windows all use IBO Player Pro. Activate the player once and it is ready for your subscription — send us your MAC Address and Device Key and we do it remotely. Formuler, Xbox and Roku do not need this.
Send your MAC Address and Device Key to contact@iptvmain.io or message us on live chat. Already activated but seeing an expiry message? See playlist expired.
Setup questions
How long does IPTV setup take?
About ten minutes on most devices. Formuler is closer to three minutes because MYTVOnline is already installed, and Firestick takes slightly longer because the player is sideloaded with Downloader.
Do I need to pay extra for the player app?
IBO Player Pro has a one-off licence of £7 for a year or £10 for lifetime, set by the app developer. IPTV Smarters Pro and XCIPTV are free. Formuler, Xbox and Roku do not use IBO at all.
What is a MAC Address and Device Key?
Two identifiers IBO Player Pro shows on its first screen. They tell us which physical device to activate. Send both to support and we handle the rest remotely.
Should I use Xtream Codes or M3U?
Xtream Codes wherever your player supports it, because it loads channels, VOD and the programme guide together. M3U is for players that only accept a playlist URL, such as VLC or Kodi on Xbox.
Can I set up on more than one device?
Yes. Install your line on as many devices as you like. Standard plans cover one stream at a time, and extra simultaneous connections can be added if the household watches different channels at once.
Does IPTV work on Roku?
Not directly. Roku blocks IPTV player apps entirely — there is no sideloading and nothing suitable in the Channel Store. The practical fix is plugging a Firestick into a spare HDMI port on the Roku TV.
