IBO Player Pro: Playlist Expired or Trial Ended
IBO Player Pro has two separate things that can expire, and confusing them is why this causes so much frustration. Your IPTV subscription is one thing; the player app licence is a completely different one. Work out which has lapsed and the fix is quick.
Work through these in order
- Understand the two expiries. IBO Player Pro gives every device a short free trial of the APP itself. That is separate from your IPTVMain subscription. If the app trial ends, you need a one-off IBO activation. If your subscription ends, you need to renew the line. Both show similar-looking messages.
- Check which one has run out. If the app opens but shows no playlist or says the playlist expired, it is usually the app licence. If the app works and channels simply stop authenticating, it is the subscription. Support can confirm in seconds if you send your username.
- Activate the app licence. IBO Player Pro activation is a one-off payment — £7 for a year or £10 for lifetime. Send us the MAC Address and Device Key shown on the app home screen and we activate it remotely, usually within minutes.
- Find your MAC Address and Device Key. Open IBO Player Pro. Both values appear on the first screen, or under Settings if you have already passed it. Photograph the screen and send the picture if the characters are hard to read.
- Reload after activation. Once we confirm, fully close the app and reopen it, then press Reload on the home screen. The playlist will not refresh on its own.
- Check you are activating the right device. Activation is tied to a specific MAC Address. If you have IBO on a Firestick and a Smart TV, each device has its own key and needs its own activation.
- Make sure it is the genuine app. Several copycat apps use similar names and icons but will not accept our activation. Check the icon against the one on our setup guides before paying for anything.

Related questions
Do I have to pay for IBO Player Pro on top of my subscription?
The app has a one-off licence of £7 for a year or £10 for lifetime, set by the app developer rather than by us. It is not a recurring charge and does not apply on Formuler, Xbox or Roku, which use different players.
Is there a player that does not need activation?
Yes. IPTV Smarters Pro is free, and XCIPTV is free on Android. Your line works in all of them — see our player comparison if you would rather avoid the IBO licence.
I activated but it still says expired
Force-close the app rather than just backing out, reopen, then press Reload. If it persists, the activation may have been applied to a different MAC Address — send us the key again and we will check.
My subscription expired, not the app
Renew from the pricing page and we will re-enable the same login. You will not need to reinstall or reactivate the app.
