Xtream Codes Not Working: Login Failed & Connection Errors
Xtream Codes errors look alarming but are nearly always a formatting problem rather than a broken account. Three fields have to be exactly right, and one stray character breaks all of them.
Work through these in order
- Type the details by hand. Copying from an email frequently drags in a trailing space or a line break, which the player counts as part of the password. Retyping all three fields manually fixes a large share of failed logins.
- Check the port number is present. The server URL usually ends in a colon and a port, for example :8080 or :2095. Without it the player connects to the wrong place and fails. Include it exactly as sent.
- Get the http prefix right for your device. Most players want the full http://server:port. Formuler boxes and some Smart TV apps want the bare domain with no prefix. If one form fails, try the other before assuming the details are wrong.
- Watch for lookalike characters. Capital I, lowercase L and the digit 1 are easy to confuse, as are the letter O and zero. If a password will not take, compare it character by character against the email.
- Confirm you are on the right login type. Xtream Codes and M3U are separate options in most players. Entering Xtream credentials into an M3U field, or the reverse, produces a connection error rather than a clear message.
- Check the line is not already in use. Some servers refuse a second simultaneous login rather than reporting it clearly. Close the stream on your other device and try again.
- Ask support to verify the line. If all of the above check out, send us your username on live chat or WhatsApp. We can confirm the line is active and re-issue details, usually within minutes.

Related questions
What is the difference between the server URL and the portal URL?
They are usually the same address. Portal is the term MAG and Formuler boxes use; Xtream Codes players call it the server URL. If your device asks for a portal, use the address we sent.
My details worked before and have stopped
Servers are occasionally migrated, which changes the URL while the username and password stay the same. Message support and we will send the current address.
Should I use Xtream Codes or M3U?
Xtream Codes wherever the player supports it, because it loads channels, VOD and the programme guide together. M3U works but the EPG is often less reliable.
Could a VPN be causing this?
It can. Some VPN endpoints are blocked by streaming servers. Try disconnecting the VPN to test — a licensed service does not require one.
